engineered from the ground up to become an competitive drift car.
Two top 16 finishes in the 2007 Formula D season (West Virginia and
Seattle). One top 16 finish in 2008 (Formula D Atlanta).
Competed in the 2007 D1GP World Championships (16 of the best drivers
in the world were selected to compete in this event).
Changes made in 2008:
Hasselgren dry sump V8 engine was engineered to further the Hiro's capabilities
being able to utilize consistent power throughout the power band. Because of the
tight space in the engine bay for a car that was originally equipped with a V6
engine, a custom set of headers from Bassani had to be made. The engine sits lower
and further back then the 2JZ-GTE from last year and is most importantly lighter.
Due to a lot of transitions in drifting it is important to have a balanced car front
to back to make it more predictable for Hiro.
Iforged was picked up as a new wheel sponsor to further advance the tuning possibilities
being able to run wider Azenis RT-615 tire to compliment the new found power from the V8.
